This section explains how metrics and calculations work in DXT360 Analytics, including metric definitions, channel differences, engagement calculations, and media value measurements across supported platforms.
What metrics are available on the DXT360 Analytics platform?
DXT360 Analytics provides a wide range of metrics across social media, online media, forums, printed media, TV, and radio channels. Available metrics include Engagement, Reach, Likes, Comments, Shares, Views, Ad Value, PR Value, Duration, Circulation, Page Rank, Unique Visitors, Bounce Rate, and more depending on the channel.
The available metrics may vary between platforms because each channel provides different types of data and measurement standards.
Why are metrics different or unavailable across channels?
Each channel uses different data structures, APIs, and interaction models, which means metrics such as engagement, reach, views, or shares may be calculated differently between platforms. In addition, some channels may not provide the same types of data due to platform limitations or API availability.
For example, Twitter (X) focuses on replies and reposts, while TikTok includes likes, comments, and shares as part of engagement. Because of these differences, certain metrics may only be available for specific channels or media types.
What is the difference between Potential Reach and Engagement?
Potential Reach estimates how many users could potentially see the content based on follower count, subscribers, or traffic size at the time of publishing.
Engagement measures how users actually interact with the content through actions such as likes, comments, shares, or replies.
A post may have high reach potential but low engagement if users do not actively interact with it.
Why is engagement different from the original platform?
Engagement in DXT360 may differ from the original platform because the data is collected through APIs and processed based on available metrics. In some cases, platforms may return updated or limited values, especially for posts with promotions or restricted data access.
Additionally, engagement metrics may be refreshed at different intervals or calculated differently within the system. This can result in slight differences compared to what is displayed directly on the platform.
What is the difference between Ad Value and PR Value?
Ad Value estimates the cost of purchasing advertising space with similar placement or exposure.
PR Value measures the estimated value of earned media coverage compared to paid advertising exposure.
Can I adjust my PR value?
PR value is calculated automatically based on predefined logic and available data sources. This ensures consistency across reports and analysis.
Manual adjustments are limited, as the value is standardized for comparison purposes.
